We may collect your personal data in the following cases:
- Through Activated Forms: Our Website has several channels / forms that you can use to contact PIPER, engage our services, get on the waiting list and/or apply for a job.
- Through the creation of your user account: you will create your user account using your Microsoft or Google email account.
- By e-mail: Anyone can contact Piper by e-mail at legal@piperai.com to ask questions, make complaints and/or claims, send CVs, etc.

4. What are the main purposes and the legal basis for processing your data?
The purposes and legal basis on which we process your personal data are as follows:
- When a user submits a query, complaint or claim using the communication channels provided for this purpose (e-mail, telephone, etc.), his or her data will be processed in order to manage and resolve the query, complaint or claim.
Legal basis: Depending on the nature of the action or communication addressed to PIPER, data processing may be based on:
(i) Consent: provided by the user when submitting the query that is not covered by the legal bases listed below.
(ii) Performance of the contract or implementation of pre-contractual measures: for cases where the processing of data by Piper is carried out within the framework of an existing contractual relationship or, where applicable, with a view to the establishment of a possible contractual relationship.
(iii) Compliance with legal obligations: Where you exercise any of the rights set out in this Privacy Policy, or where we are required by law to process your data, your personal data will be processed to comply with legal obligations.
- We may send you promotional or commercial information from Piper when you subscribe to our list on a form on our Website.
Legal basis: the consent given by the user when filling in the form or ticking the corresponding box.
- If you complete the form to contract our services: PIPER will process your personal data to execute and manage the contractual relationship that binds us.
Legal basis: shall be the contractual performance of the contract existing between the parties.
- If you create a user account on our website: When you register as a user on our website, we process your data to identify you as a user and give you access to the different functionalities and services that we make available to you.
Legal basis: contractual performance due to the existing service relationship.
- If you apply for a job with us, your personal data will be processed for the purpose of analyzing your application and managing your potential employment with Piper.
Legal basis: Depending on whether the data is submitted in response to a specific job offer or whether it is an unsolicited application, the processing of your data may be based on:
(i) Consent: if you apply spontaneously to PIPER through the channels provided, or if you agree to the re-use of your CV once the process has been completed.
(ii) Performance of the contract or implementation of pre-contractual measures: when the application is submitted in response to a job offer.
- To comply with our legal obligations, any court orders and other decisions made by the authorities. This includes disclosing personal data to law enforcement authorities where we suspect or have evidence of conduct that may constitute a criminal offence.
Legal basis: The processing of personal data for these purposes is based on the fulfilment of Piper's legal obligations.
5. How long do we store your data
Personal data will be processed for the time necessary to fulfil the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. If you create an account or contract for our services, we will retain your information for the duration of the relationship. In relation to your CV, we will keep it for the time necessary to manage the selection process for which you have registered or, in the event that you have not registered for any specific vacancy, for one year.
After the above-mentioned periods have expired, PIPER will retain the blocked information in order to comply with the provisions of the applicable legal and regulatory provisions, especially with regard to statutory limitation periods, and for the formulation, exercise or defense of claims.
6. Who do we share your personal information with?
Depending on the purposes for which the personal data has been collected, the following third parties may have access to them:
(i) Public administrations where there is a legal obligation.
(ii) Competent bodies and/or authorities, as well as the relevant law enforcement agencies, in cases where there is a requirement, a legal obligation, or where we consider that there is sufficient evidence and/or suspicion to suspect criminal activity.
(iii) Partners and third-party service providers who process information as data processors. We have entered into appropriate data processing agreements with all our suppliers in accordance with data protection regulations.
(iv) Employees and/or collaborators authorized by PIPER, subject to the applicable data protection regulations.
7. International transfer
Some of our service providers are located in countries outside the European Economic Area ("EEA").
The location of these companies outside the EEA implies the existence of an international transfer of your personal data, which may result in a lower level of protection than that provided by European legislation. Nevertheless, PIPER has taken steps to ensure that such transfers do not result in a lower level of protection for your personal data.
In this regard, service providers outside the EEA have a valid mechanism to be able to carry out international transfers: (i) either they have signed the relevant Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission ("SCC"), an agreement signed by both entities in which the non-EU company guarantees that it will apply European data protection standards or, (ii) if they are US companies, they may be certified by the new EU-US Data Privacy Framework ("DPF") compliance decision.
Therefore, using these providers will not result in a lower level of protection for your personal data than using providers located in the EU.

8. What are your rights when you provide us with your personal data?
